45 degree Carbon Steel Elbow is first divided according to its radius of curvature, can be divided into long radius elbow and short radius elbow. Long-radius elbow refers to its radius of curvature equal to 1.5 times the outer diameter of the tube, that is, R = 1.5 D. Short-radius elbow refers to its radius of curvature equal to the outer diameter of the tube, that is, R = 1.0 D. (D is the elbow diameter, R is the radius of curvature. D can also be expressed in times.) If divided by pressure class, there are about seventeen types, which are the same as the US pipe standards, namely: Sch5s, Sch10s, Sch10, Sch20, Sch30, Sch40s, STD, Sch40, Sch60, Sch80s, XS; Sch80, Sch100, Sch120, Sch140, Sch160 XXS, of which the two most commonly used are STD and XS. The executive standards are GB/T12459-2005, GB/T13401-2005, GB/T10752-1995, HG/T21635-1987, D-GD0219, etc.

The advantages of the carbon Steel Elbow production process are mainly manifested in the following aspects.

(1) do not need billet as raw material, can save the cost of pipe making equipment and moulds, and can get any large diameter and relatively thin wall thickness of carbon steel elbow.

(2) The billet is a flat or expandable surface, so the material is simple, easy to ensure the accuracy, assembly and welding convenience.

(3) Due to the above two reasons, the manufacturing cycle can be shortened and production costs greatly reduced. Because it does not require any special equipment, especially suitable for on-site processing of large carbon steel elbow.

(4) Carbon steel elbow is suitable for pipeline series in the petroleum, natural gas, chemical, water and electricity, construction and boiler industries.
